Well, it's been a tiny little while, but I'm here and writing, and baking, and thinking about peanut butter too, in case you were wondering?!

What a week. What a crazy ol' week. So many highs and lows.

The reason I am buzzing is that a beautiful song by my gorgeous and talented friend Clare Reynolds, is going to be on TV! 'Don't Give Up' was featured on the hit American TV Show 'Private Practice', where it was watched by over 9 million viewers. The episode is due to air in Australia tomorrow night (Thursday 23rd) at 9:30pm, after Grey's Anatomy. Tune in, but watch at your own peril! I've seen an advance screening of it, and you need the tissues at the ready. Preparation people, it's all about preparation. I'm preparing by purchasing aloe vera tissues and baking cupcakes. Possibly peanut butter ones. What is this fixation I have?

Some tragic news is that another incredibly talented singer/songwriter friend was killed in a senseless road accident in the US. Bruce Holloway was the most vibrant man, with so much love and music to give, and he has left behind a world full of friends who miss him dreadfully. My sincere love and condolences to his loved ones. When will people learn? Drinking and driving makes you a bloody idiot, and the families and friends of those that you kill cannot comprehend why anyone would ever do it. Stop now.

I have spent most of the past week thinking long and hard about the people in my life who I would fall apart without. There are lots, of all ages, shapes and sexes. Most of them have helped me bake cupcakes at some time or another, and for that, I thank them. ALL of them have tested cupcakes for me too, and for that, I thank their expanding waistlines!
