You say tomato, I say... well, tomato. {Freebie-time!}

I'm so excited about tomatoes. Yup, tomatoes are thrilling me right now. Because I know people who are growing their own! Clever little bumblebees. Check out this funky little greenhouse on a friend's balcony...

I wish I could garden. The thing is, I actually can garden, it's something I know I can do fairly well. Right now though, as a renter I do not own a patch of dirt. Or a cool freestanding mini-greenhouse. Or anything apart from two large succulents in pots that need zero love and affection from me. (Darn plant snobs!)

I was going to buy a house, purely for gardening purposes, but then I thought it through from my bank manager's point of view and can see that it might just be a high-risk exercise. Instead, I shall encourage others to garden. I mean, encouraging others whilst I sit back and chatter is what I do best.

This Spring, I am going to give my friends seeds, seedlings, plantlings (oooh, I love that word, can we make it a word?)and other gardening bits and bobs, to get them going.

But I'm not just going to go to Bunnings (oh, but how I love that place, I do!) and grab a few packets and shove them in their letterbox. I'm going to make these.

And you can make them too. The sweetest handmade seed packets ever. Erin Vale of Leo on the Loose has come up with some incredibly cute ideas, and she make lovely printables, for free! Download the template here, and give your friends some seeds in time for summer growing. And then you can sit back with me and watch other people garden. Isn't it fun?
