Australia's Next Top Model 2010 Brisbane Auditions

(Advance warning, this is an image-heavy post!)

So, I had a little time on my hands today in the CBD. And so did Alex Perry. So, we decided to meet there for a quick chat, a bit of a gossip, and a whole lot of bitching about what girls were wearing.

I kid. Alex Perry was probably bitching about what I was wearing. And deservingly so too! (All black semi-corporate with VERY comfortable black flat shoes does not a happy girl make, on a 35 degree Brisbane day.)

Alex Perry did however, spend aaaaages on the phone. I suspect his hands need to be attached to either a microphone, a mobile phone, or his hips at all times. Could the man strut with any more attitude? I heart him. (To be honest, he won me over when he gushed convincingly about how QLD girls just have that certain sunny something that oozes cool. Catherine McNeil & Miranda Kerr, for instance!)

* Alex Perry strutting, parading, posing. He does it so well.
* The contenders getting excited as Alex revs them up.
* That little plastic chain symbolises a HUGE barrier. It was us and them. We were the regular folk; they were the Glamazons, girls wearing ridiculously high heels midmorning in a shopping mall. (I think we pitied them slightly. I know they pitied us!)
* Some family/friends/supporters had clearly been there since early this morning.

My picks for the day...

This here little cutie is Tilly. She's cute. And she's wearing the most summery outfit I saw all day. What could be sweeter than a pale peach-pink singlet, a fun floral dress (I love the sweetheart neckline), natural raffia bag and tan leather flats? What, I ask you? Nothing. That's right. (Let me clarify, Tilly was not an entrant. She may have been a supporter, a spectator, but she was definitely one of us. We had the obligatory gossiping-about-the-high-heeled-coltish-model chat!) I liked Tilly. I kinda wish I chatted to her a little more. I think she'd be heaps of fun. Hi Tilly!

This is an ANTM entrant, Amy. Unfortunately Amy didn't get past the first round. BIG shame. Her walk was fantastic, great natural tall body, infectious smile, legs up the wazoo. Why, Alex, why? I loved Amy's outfit too. White cotton/lace strapless dress from SatinStylo, incredibly gorgeous nude heels from Williams. (Yeah yeah, I know, I cut her feet out of the photo. I'm not Mario Testino, you know.) Amy was passing through on her way from Big Day Out back to Mackay, I hope you had a great time in Brisbane, Amy!

* Nervous girls waiting to meet the judges
* Meeting Alex and the second judge, Jasmine, from Priscilla's Modelling Agency
* Walking the walk
* This cutie-pie unfortunately didn't make it past the first round, but wow! I love the hat, I love the shoes, I love the whole package.

So, this is what I do when I've got a lunch hour to kill in the CBD. What do you do? And are you an ANTM fan? (If so, can I please come to your place on show-night? We don't have cable anymore.)
