Ilike reading children's books. A lot. Picture, rhyming, chapter.... any sort - I love it. And why shouldn't I? The good ones are just as good as adult books - only shorter (so they're great if you're really busy). I think that many people would probably scoff at the idea of reading a children's book - but I guarantee that there is a children's book out there for every adult reader - a children's book that they'd love. I should know, as I've read hundreds of them.

Next time you're in the book store, I think you should definitely wander over to the children's section, do some browsing, and pick out a chapter book. Give it a try. Realistic, fantastical, comedic, tragic... whatever sort of book you feel like. So many adults read Harry Potter - there's more (much more) greatness in the children's literature canon for them to enjoy.

An added bonus, many children's chapter books feature cover and/or interior illustrations by superb illustrators... so if you're illustration-obsessive like me, you're getting words and art for the price of one. They often also have drop caps, like the one in this post. Fantastic!
