I have baking plans. But, as you know, the best-laid baking plans often fall apart. (Or I get lazy and don't follow through!)

So, I've decided to reveal in advance what I will be baking tonight, because then, no matter how many bad batches I make, I still have to commit to doing them properly before going to bed. (And after visiting a friend, and taking a long walk around Bulimba. Clearly there is no sleep required tonight.)

I reveal to you, in all their delectable glory... Macarons!

I won't be baking a whole rainbow of the tricky little treats though, I am thinking a batch each of two flavours should do it. I have two birthdays to bake for, and baking more than two flavours might take a little longer than the eight or so hours that I have at my disposal before I have to get ready for work in the morning!

What do you think of a lavender and a chocolate? Something quirky and different that people may not have tasted before, and something classic, that everyone loves?! Or pistachio, perhaps? Ahhh, the decisions.
