Get out the kleenex...
... it's wedding time!

(Super-cute wedding photo via Love and Lavender )
I'm heading to a dear friend's wedding today (yep, a Friday afternoon wedding!), and am so 'cited! I like weddings, I really really do. Lots of people who don't really know each other, all there for one reason. Well, actually two, but the groom doesn't really count, everyone knows that!
So... because this is going so well, and it's been over five weeks since I've had a drink, or a social engagement after dark at all (mainly because I choose not to tempt myself during the ten-week-super-diet-weight-loss-challenge), I have been uber-excited about what to wear to the wedding. (And yes, in case you care, I have lost quite a bit of weight. Photos of me with collarbones to be posted soon!)
My wedding outfit inspiration came from a photo I can't even find anymore, a gorgeous casual photo of Whitney Port from The City. She was rocking a three-quarter sleeved black cotton shift and some beige gladiator heels. Totally rockin' it!
The black shift dress in my wardrobe actually is beaded all over, but because of the rubbish light in my bedroom, I can't take a decent photo of it, so had to find similar styles on Polyvore to give you an idea.
Kinda like this... and yes, I have these actual earrings, I bought them from Oh Deer on Madeit . And they are even cuter in real life! I'm also getting my hair done (I'm way overdue for my regrowth) today, so it'll be a super-fun, girly day, and I get to see my funniest, coolest, most rockin'ist chick, who I never get to see. And I really mean never, so I'm PUMPED!

Madeline, you need to know something... Like I'd marry you, you'd be the meanest wife ever, OK? And I know that you weren't bored that day. Because there was a lot of stuff on TV and The Blair Witch Project was coming on Stars and you were like, "I haven't seen this since it came out and so we should watch it," but oh no we should just make out instead... la la la...
Seriously though Mads, congratulations and I truly hope that your wedding day is blissful for you, and that married life is a breeze!

Thank you darling Katy. I'm currently sitting under an old school hair dryer at the hairdressers with my hair in wet set hot rollers feeling very excited and like a 50s pin up girl. Can't wait to see you. X x
