Happy Mother's Day (if you're a Mum)
Today is Mother's Day. Which is also known as the day after the Saturday that husbands and fathers all over Australia tackle the shopping centres, kids in tow, looking for a foot spa / dressing gown / Pandora charm for the woman that gave birth to their whining sprogs.
Personally, I went with the Pandora charm option for my Mumsy. It was very well received, but I did cheat and ask her during the week exactly which charm she wanted. Best for all concerned, really. Look at his little chubby tummy, awww!

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mums and Grandmothers out there - you deserve to get spoilt today!
In other family news, the golden child (my younger, taller, blonder, tanner, more attractive brother Jamie - no, there's no resentment here, why do you ask?) is in a band. A proper band that plays in places other than my parent's garage. And they sound pretty good! I'm not actually surprised, as Jamie has been blessed with all sorts of talents that I haven't, such as athleticism and musicality. He can't bake though, so I'm the true winner. And yes, he's just as competitive as I am.
The band is called Birds of Prey, you can listen to their song She and I here. It's a really fun song, and I'll admit I've tapped my toes to it quite a few times!

If you're interested and feeling generous with your time, feel free to vote for them here. Birds of Prey are trying to win a slot at the Caloundra Music Festival (yes, Powderfinger are playing there!) in the Youth Artist category. I'd really appreciate it, and I'm sure Jamie and his mates would too, if you had a listen to their music, and if you felt so inclined, clicked the little link which will send off a vote for the Birds of Prey. Thanks for supporting!

For those of you who read this blog because you've known me forever and a day, and you remember the golden child at his peak (I'm think he was sweetest around the age of seven or eight), here are some photos for you. The rest of you can just ooh and aah over this lovely little angel, and the potential rockstar that he could become!

As I have 'known' you for about 3 months, I shall simply wish your baby bro the BEST of luck and look forward to reading about him when he becomes a megastar.
