Don't try to PIN this on me...!
Now that I have my must-wished-for beret, I want to dress it up. Don't get me wrong, I love it just as it is. It's light but warm, frilly but not flouncy, and raspberry but not pink. But it occasionally will need a little joie de vivre.
I think a sweet brooch would do just the trick. And I've found one or two (or six) perfect brooches on MadeIt. I love that it's full of handcrafted Australian stuff. I love stuff.

These here interwebs are great for shopping, but so is going into a cutesy little store and chit-chatting with the owner over a chai (thanks for the chai today, Anna!) and picking out something that no-one else will have.
This lovely acrylic tree and bird brooch is from Nook, one of the sweetest stores in Brisbane. Go there now and buy up big. Please. The staff are all lovely, and the customer service is WELL above par.
