Feeling Thankful Friday: I live in Brisbane

I love where I live. I am so fortunate that I live close enough to the CBD and get the opportunity to walk to and from work every day, through such a gorgeous city.

My walk home from work takes me along Edward Street past a stack of fantastic high-end designer stores for a spot of window-shopping, then winds through the Brisbane City Botanical Gardens and the Gardens Point QUT campus, before crossing the magnificent Goodwill Bridge to Southbank. After walking past the bright and imposing Mater Children's Hospital, I stroll under the overhanging stands of that hallowed sportsground, The Gabba, passing right by my Bikram yoga studio. And then I'm home. Seriously, it's less than 45 mins, and it's all beautiful.

Below are a few Hipstamatic photos snapped as I trotted across the Goodwill Bridge yesterday evening. (If you don't have Hipstamatic on your iPhone - get it, and if you don't have an iPhone - I have no words for you.)

(This isn't to say that I will never live in another city; I just really appreciate where I live right now!)
