Operation NICE : NICE Testimonial

I have just seen that the super-NICE Melissa of Operation NICE has featured my lovely experience as one of her NICE testimonials! Wooo!

Remember last week, when I mentioned that my day had been enhanced greatly by a young man telling me that my smile made his day...? Well, here's the full story:

This morning, I had a super-serve of niceness given to me, just when I needed it the most. I was driving to work in very heavy and slow traffic on the highway, and generally feeling a bit down about it being Monday morning, after such a lovely weekend. To cheer myself up a little, I flicked on the radio and decided to sing along with whichever song came on first. Yay, it was Taylor Swift's Love Story, and you can't be anything but cheery when you hear that song!

I was warbling away (quite loudly, mind you!) and feeling only slightly better when I noticed that the driver of the construction supplies truck next to me had scrawled a sign on a scrap of cardboard and was hanging it out the window and trying to get my attention. I thought that maybe I'd left something on the roof of my car, or perhaps a brake light was out. But no, he'd written "You made my day, great smile"!

Thanks to that guy, he really made MY day, and I'll be sure to pass on the goodwill all day!

Being featured on the lovely Operation NICE blog has kept that smile on my face!

What has happened to you lately to make your day? And have you done something super-sweet to make someone else's day?

PS. On a terribly sad note, our much-adored family dog passed away after a horrid battle with aggressive bone cancer. Patch was an important and loved member of our family, and will be greatly missed.
If you pray, or believe in Heaven, or love animals, or all three, please send doggy-love and treats to Heaven for Patch. My family and I would really appreciate it. Thanks to all my friends who have been so loving and supportive too.
