Inspiration, please hit me!

If you've been following me on Twitter, you'll know that BB and I are at the pointy end of the wedding venue decision... We've looked a handful of places, fallen in lust with one, but had already decided that there was another area we wanted to look at.

Living in Hervey Bay means that we're taking fortnightly trips back down to the city to grab things from our other place, and to have a look for wedding venues. We've explored the Gold Coast and South Brisbane hinterland, and next weekend we're going to check out the Sunshine Coast hinterland and some rural areas near my parent's house. I have a feeling that we already know where we'll decide to get married, but we honestly need to give all our possibilities a chance to wow us!

I've been super-inspired by some amazing wedding photographs by Karen Buckle, and have made appointments to view some wedding venues purely because they look stunning in her photos! I cannot wait to have a ceremony and reception venue sorted out, I'm feeling like all the styling/dress/food/stationery decisions revolve around getting this one done and dusted!

BB has been amazing and patient with all the wedding talk, and is really quite interested in the little details of our wedding day, which I thought he'd definitely not care about - he's a superstar and the best fiance a girl could imagine!

Part of the process for me has been compiling images and inspiration that I adore, and that might spark some sort of creative-DIY process for me in the wedding planning. Here are a couple of wedding inspiration boards that have caught my eye so far...

(I've created a handful of inspiration boards myself, but when I try to upload them here, the picture resolution turns to mush. Will see what I can do about that... I'm no tech-xpert, but I'll keep trying... Might have to just resort back to good old Polyvore!)

Have you used inspiration boards for planning an event or styling?
